Join us for the first SmallTalX event of 2024 with Liam Burden, a performer, teacher, and advocate for the classical saxophone. Liam will discuss the instrument's remarkable history and it's unique appeal to contemporary composers, from Europe and the USA, all the way to South Africa and Japan. The talk will include, amongst other demonstrations, a performance of art music for saxophone by Japanese composer, Ryō Noda.
